Should she tell him he was trying to break Remmi not her? But how would she explain that without doing exactly what Michael wanted... "I can agree with you but your brother doesn't seem the type to give up on something easily..."
And that brought out a small voice, nearly a whisper in the back of her mind... someone she hadn't heard from in awhile...

Nero was shocked by her tone and demeanor and it must have shown, because Garrett picked up on it, showing more concern now.

His brow crumpled as he looked at her.
"Was it something I said? I wasn't meaning to make people angry. I am as confident as you that we can handle this, Remmi."
He assumes she was confident in her own ability to defend herself, as she as shown.
